Inside the original stone I could see a darker rind-like seam of alabaster. I worked around this feature making the juicy segments within its curve.  The name ‘citrus’ reflects this juicy theme. It is the second sculpture made with this title. Alabaster is a beautifully translucent stone. When this brown stone is lit from behind it reveals wonderfully warm orange shades.
