I could feel movement horizontally through this piece. Working with a piece of clay and starting from shape of the stone I adapted it into several forms. During this process I stumbled upon the idea of a tessellation of a swimmer with the same form repeated four times alternating with the head on the left and then the right. Each tessellation is given a different tooled or sanded finish to differentiate them.
