This piece was originally to celebrate a couples significant anniversary celebration. It was a couple in an embrace but the man sheered off the sculpture. I rang the client and she told me her husband had been diagnosed with terminal cancer. He past away before the piece was finished. She asked me to keep working the stone. The finished piece was a lady just about to stand up. The sculptures hair is caucasian on one side and black afro style on the other side.
