The original rock formation was a group of interlinked bubbles. I followed the bubbles into the stone and this resulted in emerging buds which exude a sense of fun and laughter.

The word Eclosion is French and means budding, a hatching, or a blooming. The finished piece was set upon a rock, the type of which is unknown, but probably has copper content due to the colour.
