A child stretches upwards wearing a pale blue soiled t-shirt. The child’s fingers touch the angel’s hair. At the centre of the hair is a natural circle of golden orange. I found the angels wings as they werewhite outlined with a faint brown trim.
In the news we hear articles about children who have been trapped in circumstances beyond their control; orphaned, trafficked, a refugee, a drug pony, neglected, abused, or groomed. A measure of our humanity is how we treat and care for the most vulnerable in society especially our children.
Many faiths have guardian angels. In the Bible it says, “Be careful. Don’t think these little children are worth nothing. I tell you that they have angels in heaven who are always with my Father in heaven (Matthew 18:10). Therefore, whatever a child is going through they have an angelic being representing them to God the Father in the heavenly dimension.
I believe I had an experience of being saved from a fatal accident by an angel. As a schoolgirl I had tocross the city to reach my school, and this involved a change of buses at Bradford Interchange. On one occasion at the Bradford Interchange, I was running to catch my bus home (the Tyersal 630). Suddenly, I heard somebody call my name, ‘Deborah’. I turned left and then right to see who it could be, but the whole of the bus shed was completely empty. As I turned my head forwards, my hair was sucked into a vortex of air created by a speeding passing bus. If I hadn’t heard that voice, I would have undoubtably been seriously, if not fatally, injured. Afterwards, I sat on my bus shaking with shock. I believe this was divine or angelic intervention.
